Lattafa Yara Elixir is my favorite edition of Yara. It smells so deliciously gourmand and creamy. It starts off reminding me of strawberry milk made with Nesquik syrup, but it quickly settles into a more high quality, fresh, ripe strawberry blended into creamy vanilla ice cream, next to a pile of pillowy, soft marshmallows. I love the creamy vanillic tones that are sweet but not cloying because they actually mellow the sweetness of the strawberry into something wearable for me. Longevity is great, lasting about 7 hours on me with good but not overwhelming throw (would be stronger if oversprayed, of course). This is SUCH an amazing fragrance. Easy blind buy!! I originally purchased my bottle in March, and by May my bottle is now completely empty. That tells me 2 things, the fragrance is so good I even applied and wore it to bed. And second it either didnt last very long, or I went nose blind to it quickly, so I felt the need to apply more. Although I'd get random whiffs of it through the day. Its such a soft ever so woody sweet strawberry vanilla caramel scent. I work in a bakery and even got compliments from my coworkers. One walked by me and said, "OMG, it's you I've been smelling all morning, it's sooo good!!" I've never run through a body spray or perfume this quickly. I was skeptical reading all of the negative reviews, but I love this perfume! I am very sensitive to blackcurrent, so I was nervous when I saw that in the notes, but I really didn’t get too much of that upon spraying. As for the intensity, the scent lasts a few hours on my skin, but up to several days on hair and clothes. I sprayed this in my hair (only two sprays), put it up in a bun, and when I took the bun out the next day in the same room as my family, they all commented, “what smells so good?” The scent smells slightly similar to the original Yara, but to me, it smells more peppery and has the vanilla and strawberry notes added in as well.
