Product description How to reset the chain brake When removing the guide bar and chain, always disengage the chain brake first. If the clutch cover is removed with the brake engaged, reset the brake before reinstalling. 1. Remove the bar and chain 2. Place the cover onto to the saw. The back of the cover will stick up due to the brake band sitting on top of the clutch drum/drive sprocket. 3. Install the bar nuts and tighten by hand. 4. Release chain brake: Push the front handguard forward, press down on the cover’s overlapping section, then pull the guard back while maintaining pressure. Compatible with Husqvarna 135 (2011-08) 140 (2012-01) 435 (2008-05) 435E 435E II 440 440E 440E II [Note]: Not compatible with knob-style clutch covers (544194905).
